The lotus flower is regarded in many different cultures, especially in eastern religions, as a symbol of purity, enlightenment, self-regeneration and rebirth. Not the black lotus, though. That one symbolizes everything that is opposite to the light color: authority and power, rebellion, sophistication and death.
